Waiting in the sun, this remote hammock in the Caribbean Bahamas awaits it's next guest.

Sea turtles hatching behind the us, we drove to the far side of the island away from the town; past the late night checkpoints where the roads were close and our hotel needed a generator for electricity. Here is the night sky as seen from the small Island of Cozumel, Mexico.

Unwavering, early explorers would use this star to navigate the oceans and land. A single, 38 minute exposure shows star trails across the sky and the white cloud that is our own Milky Way galaxy. Below and invisible to the naked eye, the warmth of a city over 60 miles away fill the horizon with light.
