The Empire State Building in New York City changes its colors whenever there is a momentous day or time for celebration. Today, the Supreme Court ruled that anyone is able to express their love freely and in commemoration, the empire state building lit it's colors in a very rare rainbow.

New York was hit with a severe snow storm in early 2015. Trains were shut down, New Jersey Transit was closed and a few hours after this shot Times Square, there was a city-wide curfew as the blizzard intensified. Walking home, I couldn't help but take a few photos; this one being my favorite, having been told by some that it reminds them of the famous Abbey Road photo of the Beatles. What a compliment

Taken just after sunset, the fog rolled into Seattle allowing the city lights to warmly glow the air. Thanks to my wife who waited through the cold for me to get the shot.

Above is a picture of the great city of New York two days after Hurricane Sandy dissipated; the clouds still above reminiscent of a now distant but never forgotten storm and the lower half of Manhattan still dark, cold and flooded. The very dock where this photo was taken was under 12 feet of water just a few hours prior, and was still covered with sand that was once the ocean floor.

One year ago I took the exact same photo days after hurricane Sandy devastated New York City. Combining with high tides and a massive arctic storm, Sandy became the largest and most costly storm on record for the Atlantic, surpassed only by Katrina. Hundreds lost their lives and the storm stretched over 1000 miles affecting tens of millions. Today, we are rebuilding. The power is back on. The spirits are renewed

90 minutes to capture, composed of 14 individual 21 megapixel shots taken from right to left while the sun was setting, creating the two toned sky and graduation of city lights from twilight to nightfall. Long exposures created the glossy Hudson River Below and pain staking detail was considered while stitching and blending each of the photos together. I am proud to give you the first (at least that I have seen) complete accurate skyline of New York City. Extreme high resolution available.
